About the Role

As a Management and Program Analyst at the Bureau of Industry and Security, you will serve as an analyst and strategic advisor to senior management on the evaluation and effectiveness of the agency’s export enforcement programs and operations. You will drive organizational improvements, analyze program data, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency across BIS’s key operational functions.

This is a high-impact role within one of the most critical national security agencies in the US government — BIS enforces export control laws to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and protect US national security and foreign policy interests.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as analyst and advisor to management on evaluating the effectiveness of substantive programs and their operations
  • Develop and drive management initiatives to improve organizational efficiency and program effectiveness across assigned areas, including training coordination
  • Evaluate and redesign administrative and operational processes — including meetings, training coordination, reporting, and program coordination — and recommend improvements
  • Analyze and interpret complex administrative documentation and program data related to personnel, budget, and operations
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis findings
  • Support training coordination activities across the Office of Export Enforcement
  • Prepare written reports, briefings, and presentations for senior officials
  • Monitor and track program milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects involving multiple offices and stakeholders
