Fact Checking Policy

Last Updated: May 31, 2025

At FederalJobsAlert.us, accuracy is the foundation of everything we publish. We understand that job seekers rely on our information to make important career decisions, and we take that responsibility seriously. This Fact Checking Policy explains how we verify the accuracy of all content on our platform.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

Every job listing and piece of informational content published on FederalJobsAlert.us is reviewed for factual accuracy before going live. We are committed to providing information that is truthful, complete, and verifiable.

How We Fact-Check Job Listings

  • Primary Source Verification: All job listings are cross-referenced with the original posting on USAJobs.gov or the relevant federal agency’s official careers page.
  • Detail Confirmation: We verify job title, agency name, location, pay grade/salary range, application deadline, and eligibility requirements.
  • Recency Check: We confirm that listings are current and the application window is still open before publishing.
  • Link Verification: All links to official application pages are tested to ensure they are functional and lead to the correct source.

How We Fact-Check Editorial Content

For informational articles, guides, and blog posts:

  • Claims are supported by official government sources or reputable, established publications.
  • Statistics and data points are sourced from official government reports (e.g., OPM, BLS).
  • Any interpretations or opinions are clearly labeled as such and separated from factual content.

Handling Errors

Despite our best efforts, errors can occasionally occur. When a factual error is identified — whether internally or reported by a reader — we investigate promptly and correct the record. All corrections are handled in accordance with our Correction Policy.
